Great Gifts gone wrong for your Wife

Wife > Gifts gone wrong...

Lori, 30 got this from her husband and said:

My husband gave me a box of chocolates on my 25th birthday. I didn't like the gift because it was not something that I could keep for years. We ate the chocolates and the gift was finished. It was not something I could wear and show it to others.

Vacuum cleaner

Hazel, 48 got this from her husband and said:

Think about it -- a vacuum cleaner for a birthday present? That is why I am no longer married to that man.

Flannel blanket

Maureen, 32 got this from her husband and said:

I'm quite sure my husband waited until Christmas Eve to buy my gift, as an afterthought. He works 3rd shift, so I can imagine him running around the department store at 4:00 am trying to grab the quickest thing he can find. Since it was wintertime, the cold weather must have been frozen into his mind so it gave him the impression that a green flannel blanket was the perfect gift. It was ugly and the fact that he put no thought into it at all was disappointing, but I smiled and acted like it was the greatest blanket I'd ever seen!

Computer mouse

Barbara, 48 got this from her husband and said:

It seemed like the most unromantic, impersonal, cheap gift for a man to give his wife on her birthday. I was a professional person with a laptop from my job, and had mentioned that it would be good to have a mouse for it, but not as my only birthday gift from my (now ex-) husband!

Way too big flannel nightgown

Candace, 29 got this from her husband and said:

It was awful because there was no thought put into the choice of gift. It was not the right size, and definitely nothing that was on my wish list or anywhere close.

Pair of slippers

Marion, 30 got this from her husband and said:

My husband got me a pair of bathroom slippers on my birthday. I was expecting some piece of jewelry and he gave me slippers. Although the slippers were costly but I didn't like them as my birthday gift.

A coffee/mug gift set

Patricia, 27 got this from her husband and said:

I already had like 10 mugs and tons of coffee in the cabinet. Sure I could use it but it wouldn't last long at all. It seemed like a gift you would give your boss or a co-worker. It was disappointing to receive it from my husband!
